Ellenton council to skip special election this year
The New Ellenton City Council on Monday night decided no special election will be held to replace resignations of mayor Art Hanna and councilman Michael Terry. Acting mayor Eldon Cork Berry will serve until November, with Hank Roland as mayor pro tem. In Detroit, Dr. Jack Kevorkian delivered a 37 year old woman in a wheelchair to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital after midnight, saying nothing about whether the death was an assisted suicide.
