The Community Development Center sponsors a 7 p.m. program on Family Health and Aging at 425 Hampton Ave. N.W. with Barbara Butler of Aiken-Barnwell Mental Health Center as speaker. Babysitting is provided. The Aiken Recreation Department offers two tatting classes starting July 14 and July 22 at H Odell Weeks Activities Center.
The weekly route plan lists locations and times from Monday through Friday for the bookmobile. Tuesday and Wednesday include several stops at apartments and stores, with detailed time windows. Thursday features library and fire tower stops. Friday is in office.

The clinic orients new officers and plans the year ahead. Nine Our Lady of Peace Guild members meditated at St Helena's Retreat House in Augusta led by Rev Thomas Morrison. Earlier in June the Guild hosted a pizza supper for 17 parish graduates from Aquinas High School Augusta and North Augusta Senior High.
Dallas couple announces daughter Courtney Danielle Thomas born May 27 at Baylor Hospital. Several other families report new sons and daughters with births in June and July at Aiken Community Hospital, listing names, birthdates, and grandparents in Graniteville Warrenville Vaucluse and nearby areas.
