Beech Island crash driver charged with double homicide
Austin Tanner Beard, 21, of North Augusta, faces two counts of reckless homicide after a January 8 Beech Island crash on Dixie Clay Road near Flint Drive. Passenger Helen Reid, 18, Evans Georgia, died at the scene, and Tyler Gardner, 20, died the next day after life support was stopped. All three wore seat belts.

Three in Red Car Beat Warrenville Man in Aiken County
A Warrenville man reported being assaulted by three people in a red car after they sped through his neighborhood on Lawana Drive around 10 40 p m Sunday. He approached the vehicle to protect children and was struck in the head and face with a beer bottle. injuries were observed by officers.
