Severe storms sweep through Aiken area with downed trees

Severe thunderstorms moved through parts of Aiken causing downed trees and multiple warnings. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning near Leesville 8:41 p.m. with 30 mph eastward movement, in effect until 9:30 p.m. Northeastern Aiken County and central Lexington County were included. A tree blocked two York Street lanes near the Bi-Lo, and a Facebook Live video captured the response.
