In Batesburg a 23 year old woman Brandi Nicole Jordan was shot by her live in boyfriend Travis Blease Miller who then killed himself. Investigations focus on motive and sequence as autopsies are planned and toxicology tests ordered.
Congresssman Joe Wilson toured the CSRA outlining tax and unemployment concerns. He noted Aiken County 7.4 percent jobless rate as the region’s best, while Allendale faces 20 to 24 percent, urging bipartisan action and talks with local development and commerce officials.
