Two time Olympic judo athlete Rene Capo died of lung cancer at age 48. The Cuban born American competed in 1988 and 1996 Olympics and previously placed fifth at the USA Judo Senior Nationals. Capo lived in Naperville Illinois and grew up in Hialeah Florida. He played defensive tackle for the University of Minnesota from 1979 to 1982, sharing a sacks record. Montcourt dies at 24 in Paris after ban for betting on matches. Autopsy planned. cause of death not disclosed.
