Aiken club owner faces multiple charges in liquor and licensing probe
Aiken Department of Public Safety investigated Bella gio Cafe and Club at 508 York St NE after a Saturday complaint. The club opened without proper city business and liquor licenses, with owner Leroy Peterson absent and manager unable to contact Georgia McKevie. Patrons were asked to leave. a reopens date of Aug 1 was announced. Investigators will follow up with charges as needed.
