Cumbee Center adds two to 10 member board in April
Margaret Tribert and Julia Tuttle joined the Cumbee Center board as new members in April. Tuttle, a peer support specialist at the Aiken Center, pursues a masters in clinical mental health counseling and notes the center’s longevity and networked service to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Tribert recalls early 1980s origins and the center’s evolution from an underground volunteer network to a stable community resource. USC Aiken, Colleges of Distinction, and Coastal Carolina University spring honorees are also referenced in the passage.
