Sierra Club to Host Snake Safety Program in Aiken
Dr. Whit Gibbons will discuss Snake Safety in the Southeast at the Sierra Club Aiken Group meeting. The free event opens to the public Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the Aiken Unitarian Universalist Church. Gibbons, emeritus ecologist and author, notes South Carolina hosts six venomous snakes and over 30 harmless species.
