Band Draws Crowd At Hopeland Gardens Summer Concert
Nearly a thousand people gathered at Hopeland Gardens to hear the US Marine Corps Band from Paris Island perform the 12th concert of the 1998 Hopeland Gardens Summer Concert Series. The patriotic program featured Star Spangled Banner America the Beautiful Armed Forces 72 and Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. Parents Kevin and Ball Barrett of Aiken accompanied 21 month old Bradley Barrett who clapped along as Warrant Officer Michael W. Edmonson and Staff Sgt. Michael J. Powell conducted in khaki and blue uniforms.
