Shark attack near Manhattan Beach leaves swimmer with injuries
A 7-foot great white bit a man in the upper right side while swimming about 300 yards off Manhattan Beach. The victim, described as middle aged, was taken to a hospital in stable condition after a 30 minute struggle to land the shark. beaches remained open with a one mile area closed as lifeguards checked the water.
