Roberson cites contract concerns over Edgefield post
Former Aiken district administrator Dr. Frank Roberson says he cannot sign the Edgefield County superintendent contract as written. Negotiations began earlier this year after the Edgefield County Board offered him the position. Roberson, serving as associate superintendent, notes the four year deal would trap him for three years unless he leaves late in the term. He cites family needs and no exit option as reasons to withhold acceptance. The Board of Education meets at the district office in Johnston today at 3 p.m. to discuss the contract in closed session. A press release will follow.
