Amusement Rides To Be Inspected In Training Course

South Carolina amusement ride inspection team will take a fall training course to become certified in ride inspections for the first time. Ten inspectors from the Licensing and Regulation department will be joined by a National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials instructor for testing.

Marine Corps Band performs indoors at Hopeland Gardens concert

The U S Marine Corps Band from Parris Island played indoors at South Aiken High Gym to about 550 listeners as rain canceled the Hopeland Gardens show. Warrant Officer Jacobs led the brass, Master Sgt Hoffman took the second half, and the program spanned hymns Wagner works and Broadway tunes with listeners clapping and swaying.
