North Augusta approves pay study changes for city workers
The city council endorsed Archer Company findings that regraded positions and revised minimum and maximum pay scales. Increases apply via time in role and experience, not merit. A mold and asbestos remediation bid at the Public Safety Headquarters totaled 52 300 and a new HQ is planned for 2022.

Woman dies in high speed single car crash in Aiken County
Angela Denise Johnson 49 of Beech Island died after a 2015 Toyota left Storm Branch at over 100 mph, rolled multiple times, and ejected her. She died at Augusta University Medical Center after being found by an sheriff deputy. The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Warrenville woman dies in Beech Island crash on U S 278
A two vehicle collision on U S 278 near New Beginning Ministries in Beech Island killed Britney L. McGee 26 of Warrenville. The driver of the other vehicle William Carey of Forsyth Georgia was injured. Traffic backed up over an hour as responders worked and toxicology results are pending.
