The Newberry Community Players present The King and I as their sixth summer production running July 17 to 23 at 8 p.m. except Sunday. Performances at Ritz Theater downtown Newberry with box office reservations starting July 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets 4 adults 2 students.
The Aiken Recreation Department will offer diving and tatting classes along with trips during July and August. Local residents can join activities through the department’s schedule and registration details.
Aerobic dance classes start next week with multiple weekly sessions at Sunset Skating Rink H Odell Weeks Activities Center and Knights of Columbus Hall. Two classes per week for six weeks cost 32 dollars. Instructor is Nancy Hansen. Scuba diving course starts July 10 with lectures pools and open water dives priced 175 dollars. Jerry Couch leads.
