Deaths tied to Riverside trash bag murders widen probe
Patrick Kearney and David Hill, two avowed homosexuals jailed on $500,000 bail, are being questioned about six additional bodies in a case known as the trash bag murders. Police planned searches across five counties as authorities warned 30 to 35 more victims could be found. The eight male victims, nude and shot or mutilated, were found along highways in Riverside Los Angeles San Diego and Orange counties. Four were in plastic bags.

Giant Crazy Horse carving inches toward completion
Korczak Ziolkowski, 68, continues blasting and drilling on Thunderhead Mountain in the Black Hills to finish the 563 foot high Crazy Horse sculpture. An equal number of Atlantans travel to Newcastle for a British life experience before a five day self guided stay with a second host. Motive Sought In Slayings Of Fire Chief And Neighbor
Ex Marine Gary Rock 23 was arraigned on two counts of criminal homicide for the shootings of Wilbur Brookens and Fayetteville Fire Chief James Catchall during a fire at a secluded house in Fayetteville. Two other firemen were injured as Rock tried to flee before his nine hour capture. Neighbor Donald Brookens called him a nice fellow. Police used a helicopter bloodhounds and about three dozen officers in the manhunt.

Lightning Strikes Aiken Cause Minor Property Damage
The Aiken Public Safety Department reports no injuries from Saturdays electrical storm. Several hot water heaters were knocked out and a pine tree was blown over on Coker Street. A resident lost two televisions and an electric razor to lightning, and a tree at Aiken Training Track was barked by the strike.
