One Dead Four Injured In Head On Collision
A head on collision on Columbia Highway North and May Royal Drive left one dead and four injured Thursday afternoon. The unrestrained Honda, a 2009 model, crossed the centerline and struck a 2016 Chrysler head on. Coroner Darryl Ables said the Honda driver died at the scene from blunt force trauma and has not yet been identified. Four passengers in the Chrysler were transported to area hospitals in critical condition. The coroner's office and South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
