New Ellenton acting mayor Axel Adams expressed extreme doubts about paying 13 city employees next week, then said the town had been rescued again by a franchise fee from Southern Bell. Celebration of Independence Day Events Across Aiken and Saluda

Across Aiken and Saluda counties the Fourth of July line up includes Sky Spectacular '93 at Aiken Mall with a 9 pm fireworks show and live music from JOY 102.7 FM, plus acts by the WKSX Shag Show, Circulators Square Dancers, Shinettes, Shining Stars, and Strings of Grass.
