Patriotic Worship service at St Johns United Methodist Church
Hundreds filled St Johns United Methodist Church in Aiken for a Patriotic Worship service honoring faith and freedom and the founding of the United States. The Rev. Dr. Tim McClendon welcomed attendees as Brig. Gen John Geiger and the State Guard organized the ceremony with flag processions and branch songs. Ret. Col. Gary Lamb, longtime emcee, led music after serving as Army Chorus director. The service stressed remembrance of independence and service, featuring patriotic hymns and a flag for prisoners of war and those raising in action.
