DOE opens bids for Savannah River liquid waste contract
The Energy Department issued the final RFP for the Savannah River Site liquid waste management contract, currently held by Savannah River Remediation. The deal covers 51 million gallons in 43 active tanks, closure of eight, and operations through a Salt Waste Processing Facility. Estimated value is 4 to 6 billion dollars over up to 10 years, with 60 day proposal window.
