Jordan to host U.S. troops and airspace for Iraq war plans
Diplomats say Jordan will base U.S. troops and allow use of its airspace if Washington attacks Iraq. The plan includes three Patriot anti-missile batteries to be deployed along the eastern frontier, with initial search and rescue missions possible to expand to attack forces. Jordan’s stance aims to balance ties with Iraq and U.S. support amid regional pressure.
