County tourism grant workshops available to public
The Aiken County Visitors Center and Parks Office offer Tourism Development Grant applications and requirements. Applications, due by 5 p.m. March 6, are available at the Visitors Center and the Government Center. A Feb 20 workshop from 1 to 7 p.m. assists applicants.

Two Edgefield suspects arrested after perimeter manhunt
Jaime Wright and Travis Gray Jr. were arrested in Warrenville on Howlandville Road after Edgefield County issued warrants for financial card fraud breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and parole violation. A tracking team with a bloodhound and aerial surveillance aided the capture near Howlandville Road. Both men were booked at the Aiken County detention center and await transfer to Edgefield County jail as officers discussed additional charges.

BLOTTER REPORTS MULTIPLE THEFTS AND INCIDENTS IN AIKEN AREA
Aiken County deputies logged numerous incidents including vehicle thefts on Buena Vista Avenue in North Augusta and license plate theft on Nickletop Road. Credit card fraud totaling 312.05 appeared in Wagener and Augusta, with other cases of unlocked vehicles, vandalism, burglary, shoplifting, and a domestic violence arrest on Mullis Street. Police activity also noted citations for traffic violations and a school bus altercation on Barnwell Avenue.
