Historic Aiken Preservation Awards honor St Thaddeus Church
The Historic Aiken Foundation held its 2018 Preservation Awards at the Stevenson McClelland Building on the St. Thaddeus campus. Rector Rev. Wiseman noted nearly $750,000 spent on campus updates over nine years as the sanctuary remains the oldest church building in Aiken and on the National Register of Historic Places. Cemetery improvements were also highlighted with readable gravestones and notable burials including Confederate Brigadier General Gabriel James Rains.

Aiken Public Safety films safety PSA with new officers
Two of Aiken's newest traffic safety officers star in a downtown safety video shot Friday.
