Aiken man arrested after stop yields burglary tools
George Babiak a 20 year old of Alfred Street was arrested after police stopped him on York Street carrying a tan and black bag containing two hacksaws boltcutters wrenches cloth gloves and latex gloves joints with cousins at a gas station planned to use tools on junk cars. Deputies say no fires were reported on Old 96 Indian Trail Road in Batesburg though two incidents occurred within hours of each other and investigation remains active.
