South Carolina Freedom of Information Act Amendments
The act updates the definition of public bodies and records and clarifies access rights under the Freedom of Information Act. It specifies exemptions, including tax and medical records, and requires separation of exempt material. Violations carry escalating misdemeanor penalties up to ninety days and fines up to three hundred dollars.
