Sheriff s drug bait billboards aim to cash in on crime
In Anderson County Texas Sheriff Taylor promotes billboards offering cash rewards up to 25 percent of assets seized from drug dealers. The joint venture with Sum ney Outdoor Advertsing Inc places thinly veiled appeals to turn in dealers. Informants may be paid after court clearance and receive security and screening. A separate CSPI report notes US food labels may require foreign labeling to show major ingredient percentages, which US firms oppose as costly.
