In Warrenville the Aiken County Sheriff's Office investigates an armed robbery at a Kangaroo Express on Augusta Road. A female clerk says a black man with a red hoodie and blue scarf demanded money, fled on foot after receiving cash.
Aiken County Sheriff's Office logs show a man’s cellphone thrown from a vehicle during an argument, keys missing after a restaurant stop, and a dark SUV striking a woman’s car. Other notes include forced entry at a North Augusta home, an ex boyfriend assaulting a woman, eggs tossed at vehicles, mail theft and mistaken mailbox return, and several property thefts and damages across Aiken, Clearwater, Beech Island, Graniteville, Warrenville, and Windsor.
A Hitchcock Woods Foundation event on Tuesday at 7 p.m. features Christine Rolka and Bennett Tucker discussing forest thinning and prescribed burning for habitat health at Birds & Butterflies, 117 Laurens St. N.W. Tickets are $5 with reservations via 803-649-7999. Aiken Red Cross blood drive follows Wednesday at Aiken Mall 2441 Whiskey Road from 2 to 7 p.m.
