Senators Back Bill to Move Nuclear Waste to Yucca Mountain

Six Republican senators led by James Inhofe back a bill to license Yucca Mountain for high level waste from sites like Savannah River. If passed the 300 year license would precede a further 1 million year regime, aiming to end a decade long stalemate and clear regulatory hurdles for the project.
