Florida conman arrested in Gulfport after multi state fraud spree
Benjamin Atkinson, 27, was arrested at a Gulfport Circuit City on a counterfeit check charge and held on a 2 million bond. Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood said Atkinson is wanted in at least six states for fraud and identity theft, with activity traced from New York to California and Florida to Mississippi. The probe spans more than a thousand forged transactions and costs to merchants exceeding 250000 dollars.
