Rovers Train At Langley Pond For Pan American Trials
About 20 one oar rowers and several scullers practiced on Langley Pond as they prepare for the Pan American Games in Argentina. Trials to select the U.S. team are set for early next month in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, but pond upgrades delayed the event. The work, costing about 90 thousand dollars with state funds, should finish in March. Rowers will train twice daily through February 2.
