Missing man Leaphart abducted for ransom killed in North Augusta

Police report Leaphart was coerced by Williams and associates in a Dec 24 kidnapping on Haven Road near Batesburg Leesville. He was driven to an abandoned Hutto Pond Road building in Aiken County where he was killed. Gantt faces murder charges. Williams and others held as investigations continue.
