Aiken district to present rezoning and bond plan at meeting
The Aiken County Public School District will discuss attendance area changes, middle school restructuring, and a bond referendum up to 550 million. Proposals include converting Aiken Middle to sixth grade, reorganizing Schofield and Kennedy Middle, and adding a new school on donated land between Graniteville and North Augusta. The plan outlines a May 1 referendum date and phased openings from 2015 to 2039 with grandfathering provisions and transportation details.
