Researchers launch four year study of King Island ghost village

Oregon State University anthropologists will study King Island 625 miles northwest of Anchorage with a $517000 NSF grant. They will document oral histories of former residents and train Inupiat youth to collect environmental samples while assessing building stability for 50 participants over four years.
