German Bridgettine abbey closed as library moves to diocese
Germany's last Bridgettine abbey Altemuenster near Munich is closed at the Vatican's request. The diocese will receive the library and art collection while digitization plans promise online access for pre 1803 items. Researchers fear fragmentation and access limits remain unclear.
