North Augusta double death ties to family dispute

Police say a father Samuel Hewlett 52 shot his son Brandon Hewlett 21 at 27 Woodvine Drive North Augusta then killed himself around 9 30 a m. The mother was away and found the bodies. Deputies found them at 10 30 a m in the Windtree subdivision. Autopsies scheduled in Newberry.

Streets named for MLK face urban decay in St. Louis

A six mile stretch on Dr Martin Luther King Jr Drive shows shuttered stores pawn shops and liquor outlets with similar decay seen in Houston Milwaukee and Washington DC. Melvin White founder of Beloved Streets of America calls it a national problem and says King would be distressed by the scene.
