Duke Power Co. says it will consider using government plutonium instead of uranium as fuel, but has not committed. Officials met in Washington with Energy Department leaders and other utilities to discuss possibilities. Plutonium, highly radioactive, is a major component of nuclear weapons.
In Santa Monica California sources say O J Simpson will be deposed Monday in civil suits over the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. The deposition date was kept secret by a judge but confirmed by anonymous sources.
