Spartanburg reported that Ron Sartor and Sherick Halsey remain friends after Halsey admitted firing at Sartor and leaving him for dead. Halsey pled guilty to felony assault but avoided prison as Sartor agreed to pay half of his medical bills and a third party covers the other half. Sartor, 17, and Halsey, 19, could not be reached. Prosecutors lament Sartor’s lack of cooperation while noting the restored friendship.
Prosecutors describe a feud between Halsey and Sartor that led to a January 13 1988 shooting at a Carlisle ballfield. Sartor slipped in mud as four assailants pursued him after reinforcements arrived. Halsey fired a .22 pistol striking Sartor near the left kidney. no murder trial followed as Sartor insisted he harbored no anger toward Halsey.

Wal Mart security video shows a man stealing two five dollar bills. suspect identified and investigation continues.
