Twelve Juniors Vie For 1972 Aiken Junior Miss Title
Twelve high school juniors from Aiken Senior High began Sunday afternoon practice for the 1972 Aiken Junior Miss Pageant. Contestants perform talents such as baton twirling piano art monologue sewing monologue interpretive dance guitar and singing. The February 10 event at Aiken Junior High features fitness rounds scholastic achievement interview and poise.

The Aiken Hornets defeated Airport Eagles 65-58 to grab their first 4-AAAA conference win. Steve Berendsen led with 17 points followed by Willie Perry 15 and Charles Mundy 10 as Aiken improved to 1-4 in the conference and 2-7 overall, with a road game at Brookland-Cayce next.
