The Aiken County School District plans to observe the Martin Luther King holiday and Presidents Day as holidays, hoping snow days will be excused by the South Carolina General Assembly. Lawmakers have debated bills to excuse up to four snow days, with changes proposed by Rep. Roland Smith and Rep. Bill Clyburn, and Senators adding Aiken County.
