Favre says shoulder injury won't hinder Super Bowl effort
Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre said his left shoulder, possibly a torn cartilage or cuff, won't affect his play against the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl. He noted arthritic pain but plans to avoid surgery, while stressing his right shoulder is fine and his knee cartilage issue remains minor. Alternates, replacements named for Pro Bowl rosters follow.
