Beech Island man jailed on kidnapping and domestic violence
Zerebel Edward Jamal Byrd 30 of Amos Court North Augusta was charged with kidnapping first degree domestic violence and third degree domestic violence in connection with an assault on a 20 year old pregnant woman at the Royal Inn on Jefferson Davis Highway Beech Island. The victim reported Byrd beat her stomped on her back and knee to the face after a text message and barred her from leaving while she was 10 weeks pregnant. Byrd was arrested Thursday and placed in the Aiken County detention center.
