Blackville man accused in Barnwell child sexual conduct case
Jeremy James Thomas, 32, of 602 Morrow Drive, is charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor or attempt and use of a vehicle without permission in a Barnwell County case. Deputies responded to a New Year’s Eve home incident where a 10 year old girl was alleged to be assaulted. Thomas surrendered after a traffic stop. The victim was taken to a local hospital.

Five Arrested in Barnwell Robbery and Burglary Case
On December 12, 2015, four men and one woman were arrested in Barnwell after an assault and robbery on Lebanon Road harming a 62 year old man. The suspects Thomas Cory Ryan Zorn Hakeem Devern McAurther Mixson Kareem Dashawn Riddle Jr Emily Carr old Frazier and Michael George Samuel Newberry face armed robbery assault by mob and conspiracy charges. They also face burglary charges for a separate St Paul Road TV theft. The victim was struck with a pistol a pallet crate and fists and transported to hospital. The five were taken to the Barnwell County Detention Center.
