Dominion refund claim questioned by SC lawmakers
South Carolina lawmakers and the DC Office of Regulatory Staff challenge Dominion Energy’s proposed 1500 cash refunds for SCE&G customers. The ORS says the average customer has contributed about 1406.83 since March 29, 2009, leaving a gap of 406.83 under the plan. The deal would keep SCE&G in the VC Summer debt for 20 more years, with an effective 13 percent rate tapering to zero over two decades.
