Sanford's NAACP invocation choice draws GOP criticism
Senator Glenn McConnell and other Republicans fault Mark Sanford for selecting Rev. Joe Darby to give the inaugural invocation. They say Darby supports an economic boycott of South Carolina over the Confederate flag. Sanford defends the choice noting Darby’s leadership in the NAACP and diversity in the state.
