South Carolina Fishing Report Highlights Bay Area Rivers
The SC Natural Resources Department reports Lake Hartwell, Russell, Thurmond, Wylie, Greenwood, Wateree, Marion, Moultrie and Santee Cooper systems show bass, crappie, catfish, bream and white perch activity. Largemouth bass strong on Hartwell and Moultrie. striped and hybrid bass excellent at Thurmond and Hartwell. perch and crappie good across several lakes. fishing at dam areas and brush piles with minnows, live bait, and specific lures advised. Reports note 9 to 10 pound hawgs and limits in some lakes.
