Tree root blamed for Sun day water main break in Aiken
City officials said a tree root grew enough to press on a water line on Park Avenue S.E. between Kershaw and Sumter streets causing a break. The closure was to stay until repairs and valve insertions are completed possibly by Tuesday with some follow up work.
