Midlands hospital opens new heart care facility

Palmetto Health opens the 101 million Palmetto Health Heart Hospital in Columbia with 124 beds and an adjacent office park to compete with Providence Hospital in Midlands. The center centralizes heart care, features larger rooms and wireless monitors, and aims to expand services beyond the main building. Providence says its reputation will continue to speak for itself.
