An 18 year old man named Michael Joel Cliett escaped from Stevenson Correctional Institute and was recaptured in Chapin on Sunday night. He serves two years for grand larceny from Aiken County and faces an escape charge. He was present at the 6 30 p m count Saturday but missing at the 9 p m count.

Accused Gunman dies after weekend in Lancaster finance center
