Murder Trial Scheduled In Aiken Father Slaying
An 18 year old Aiken man Russell Ronnie Ray faces murder charges in the death of his father Russell Ray 68. He is slated for trial in the January term of General Sessions Court in Aiken beginning Monday. The trial is expected in the second week of a three week term. Judge Rodney A Peeples will preside. The docket includes about 75 cases plus 25 carryovers with more added after the Grand Jury meets. Most guilty pleas involve traffic offenses including DUI and suspended licenses. Suspect Nabbed In Break-In At Aiken Business

Buckeye to Start $1 Million Pilot Plant Near Montmorenci
Buckeye Abrasives plans a Buckeye Chemical Industries pilot plant on 143 acres near Route 78 east of Aiken by the Oakwood Fire Tower.
