Sweater-clad baby alpacas find comfort in cold
The Aiken Alpacas of Chiweenie Farms in Williston dressed eight baby alpacas in children’s sweaters to keep them warm during a bitter cold spell. Sherry Forney and partners started planning last fall and shopped at Aiken’s Goodwill for sweaters. They cut sleeves to fit, then helped the herd huddle in a barn stall overnight to stay warm and secure.
